Cool atmosphere and location. Service is friendly and nice. If you’re looking to fill a longing for a Parisian pastry, it falls a bit short there. There are more compelling options in the twin cities for that. Chocolate croissant was pretty good but lacking the flaky, chewy, sheer joy you experience when eating that in Europe. The blueberry scones were underwhelming - gritty in texture and leave something to be desired. We also tried a cappuccino - good, but again, there are better options elsewhere.

Mother Dough has a variety of breads, salads, sandwiches, and deserts + pastries that make it the perfect spot to have a pick-me-up. Lunch feels much more elavated. My favorite is their Tuna Club Sandwich!
One thing that makes them stand out is their amazing staff. David is very attentive, polite, and personable with each and every customer. He's efficient and very skilled as a barista. Having someone who genuinely cares about their customers and their craft is what makes this place that much more enjoyable to visit. All employees are very kind and attentive.

Great food, and the employees are nice enough but it's clear that this cafe is understaffed. As a fellow office worker myself, i know everyone comes for their coffee in a rush but there shouldn't be such a wait to order! Doesn't seem fair for the baristas to be running back and forth between orders. Hope this changes, would hate to go back to starbucks because this shop's coffee is better lol

Motherdough is honestly such a gem. I had the chicken sandwich, and it was super tasty, just the right amount of flavor without being too much. They’ve got a solid lineup of lunch options, and there’s something for everyone. The vibe is relaxed, and the staff is super friendly, which makes it a great spot to hang out and enjoy some good food. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a chill and cute place to grab lunch!

Wonderful bakery and friendly staff. Baked goods are made fresh daily. I recommend trying their butter and chocolate croissants -- quite good. Their coffee was fresh and flavorful as well.

This place is great! I stopped by with a coworker and Sean (the manager) was super informative about the food & drink offerings. I don't usually order tea, but ended up getting the Chamomile and Sean gave us the background about how the tea was hand selected from a farm in Germany and that all the teas are delivered from across the world.
My coworker and I both got the chocolate croissant which was delicious. I can't wait to return to try their breads and sandwiches.

I got a cold brew and an almond croissant on a weekday morning. The cold brew was delicious. Strong and balanced. I always have to try the almond croissant when places have it on the menu and it did not disappoint, worth the price. It had a nice ratio of filling to pastry. The space itself is beautiful. It makes you feel like you can stop by for a quick glass of wine or linger for hours.

Wow. I’ve had the breakfast sandwich before but when I had the smoked salmon baguette… wow, I was blown away… I have to say it was one of the best if not the best ever salmon baguettes I’ve had. I’d definitely recommend. It’s a must try.

I loved the breakfast sandwich! It’s the best in town! Their chocolate croissant was also to die for. Loved the service- Sean and Moses were so kind and prompt to assist and help with any suggestions. Coffee was also oh so perfect 😋

Whenever I try somewhere new, I get the basics. At Mother Dough, I stopped for a black coffee and an almond croissant and they didn’t disappoint. My coffee was brewed excellently and with a crisp finish and the croissant was essentially perfect; it was layered expertly and had a nice flaky crust (but not so much that it becomes messy, especially for on-the-go orders). Overall great experience and staff, so I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I need a reliably-high quality breakfast stop downtown. Looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu!
